Tom Smothers Net Worth $10 Million Dollars

Tom Smothers is an American comedian, composer, and musician with a net worth of $10 million dollars. Tom Smothers was born in NY, New York, and was originally focused on gymnastics, and was additionally a competitive unicyclist. The American comedian went to attend San Jose State University, where he continued to compete in gymnastics, and joined the track and field team. The American comedian and his brother, Dick, started performing folk music collectively. Uncertain if they were strong enough musically to create a career of it, they started adding humor to their music sets. The American comedian started guest starring and recurring on television shows in the early 60s, and in 1965, “The Smothers Brothers Show” started airing. It survived for one season, and after that the duo launched, “The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour”. The show was a success, but became increasingly political over the span of its run, and was abruptly cancelled in 1969. He has continued to perform along with his brother since then, both on stage and in film and television projects. He received a special Emmy in 2008, along with the Jack Green Civil Liberties Award.

#Quote
1[his evaluation of President Lyndon Johnson] I think he's indisputably the best president we have at the moment.
2[11/28/02, interview in Chicago Tribune] I'm watching television and I'm not seeing anything. I watch all the cable shows where you should see some looseness and you're not hearing anything . . . There's a general dumbing down of everybody in this country . . . It just kept going and going until it's gotten to the point where it's all mean-spirited and vulgar. It not only affects comedy, it affects film. It affects literature. It's pervasive on radio. There's that guy Howard Stern and all that smart ass, vulgar, sexual pretending like they're expanding freedom of speech. They ought to put an amendment to the First Amendment that says there shall also be freedom of hearing.
