Alan Irwin Menken net worth & biography:

Alan Menken is an award-winning composer, singer/songwriter and a musician with an estimated net worth of $10 Million. Menken acquired his substantial net worth by producing famous musicals for Walt Disney which comprises The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin.

Alan Menken Net Worth $10 Million Dollars

Manhattan-produced Menken was an excellent fan of music from an extremely young age. When he attended college, Menken started out as a pre-med student, but later change to his first love-music. After college, he joined the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop, which gave him the chance to perform in local nightclubs. Menken also worked as a composer, primarily producing jingles and tunes.

Menken got his first big break with lyricist Howard Ashman to work with the 1970 Off Broadway production, God Bless You, Mr Rosewater. This production was a success, but there were greater heights installed for Menken: His work for the 1982’s Off Broadway musical, Little Shop of Horrors, earned him a Drama Desk Award nomination. Menken quickly became a prominent composer as the following year he received a BMI Career Achievement Awards for his work for Little Shop of Horrors, God Bless You, Mr Rosewater plus many others.

Menken was involved in a musical version of Charles Dickens’ classic, A Christmas Carol (1994.) The show was such a roaring success that it has become an annual holiday event in the Big Apple. Despite his indisputable Broadway success, Menken is a saviour to Walt Disney as he is better known for his string of prominent musicals for their animated films. Throughout the last two decades, Menken created music contents for Little Mermaid, Aladdin, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and more lately Tangled (2010.). He also created music for the film Enchanted (2007). For his jobs with Disney, Menken won eight Oscar awards, making him the only living man to do this. Menken has been Oscar nominated a total of nineteen times.

Furthermore, Menken received a Tony Award nomination for his work on Sister Act: the musical, which was premiered in Broadway on springtime 2011.
